New plastic cups in Sky Club?

I was in the B Concouse ATL Sky Club today and all the drinks were being given in our in smaller plastic cups (approx. 8-10 oz in size). Is this a new thing in Sky Clubs?

Seems to be a trend..

I noticed it in DTW a couple weeks ago, but i wasn't the first:

It's also apparently in IND too:

Maybe Delta uses the same dishwasher everywhere and they've run out of parts?

or maybe Delta has added another enhancement because these plastic cups are smaller and contain less liquid/alcohol.

I noticed it at a LGA SC last year sometime - asked, and was told that the dishwasher was broken. It happens.

...and plastic cups just need a quick rinse and they are ready for the next person. Saves money and you don't have to worry about keeping that pesky glass shiny and clean.

Slightly off topic, but, it would be realllllllly nice if they did what AS Board Rooms do - - "To Go" cups for coffee. That would do WONDERS for me in the morning!

. . . . . . . that said . . . . . . . If I would put some coffee in my own to go cup or thermos, would my pic appear in the "Most Disgusting Acts" / DYKWIA thread??? *****

*****Disclaimer - - I have never done this!

United has this at their clubs as well. If I end up in coach I'll sometimes get a house liquor and a juice...

New plastic cups in Sky Club?

They must have switched out to Gordon's branded dishwashers.

I have intermittently seen Styrofoam (erm, "expanded polystyrene") to-go cups at BOS.

It's because the Budweiser kept leaking out of the paper bags that they had previously been using.

Wow, they must have a lot of dishwashers breaking across the system...

Either that, or this is one of the new enhancements meant to show you how the clubs are worth their new membership price tag of $695/year.

You beat me to it...I saw this thread right before the new SC fee schedule and policies were announced. Pretty funny juxtaposition.
