Problem is really simple. If the route doesn't support a 320 this time of year, either it's a smaller aircraft or no aircraft at all.

So, just returned. I was a CRJ 900 and it did not really surprise me that the nonstop flight to SAT had a stop in Nashville to refuel :-)

Looks like on both the 8th and 9th it had to make a stop in BNA for fuel. That flight is also chronically an hr+ late.

I regularly fly the IAH -LGA route on an EMB170 (2 restrooms and 9F and it's fine). I did have a flight time of over 4 hours a few times due to headwinds.
In my opinion there is no comparison between a CRJ-700/900 and EMB-170/175, the EMB-170/175 is superior in comfort to any mainline narrowbody aircraft even, especially in coach.

Amazing that milecalc.com shows. . .

JFK/SAT is 1587 miles

and

JFK/BNA + BNA/SAT (765 + 822)

Are both 1587 miles!

So, NO SOUP extra miles for you!!

But it is implied that you were??

AC used to do YYZ-SAN on E190s. I think it's been up-gauged since (haven't been on AC in a long time) but that was the longest flight I've seen in any of the new CRJ/ERJ types.

I am glad that dinner was served! They could have argued, each segment is less than 900mls!

OK, enough! I flown a lot of private and in no way does it give it a "private jet feel".
