I can't remember the last time I called customer service, but the number was something like 1-800-225-2525 and when I do call it's just for flight status and possibly for an incoming flight that I'm not taking.
Doesn't do me much good.
Another great 'improvement'.

Not a great idea, as caller ID is easily spoofed, but as long as the PIN system still exists before redemptions are allowed, or some other protections are in place...

Nice enhancement. But entering my SM# is not really time consuming. My telephone experience with Delta is just fine.

"repond to your voice" does worry me. Those response systems are terrible (at any company). If it recognizes my number but I have to start talking to the machine that isn't good. Currently you can do everything with touchtones

Nice - when I call it is usually when on the move so not needing to enter the numbers will be an improvement.
The proper number to call is 1-800-323-2323 for SkyMiles customer service/reservations. Upon entering your SkyMiles number (or calling from your profile phone number) it will route you to the correct department (DM, PM, GM etc).
The number you provided is Delta's FliteLine.

We don't understand what voice recognition has to do with this....could you clarify?
