When I searched Google I was brought to the page from last year, and it states that offer is expired.

I then searched right on Delta's website and was taken to this link:

http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_.../buy-mqms.html

This is formatted in the new website style, so it implies something is coming just not when. Until they go live or announce otherwise, it is at least a talking point for us Flyertalkers.

You're right... that looks different from what I saw last week. Interesting!

I wonder if the most recent IT collapse has set this announcement back.

Crickets so far.... I wonder what the holdup is... Not that I'm buying any, this has long seemed quite bizarre of a program to me.

2013 - Will Delta Sell Medallion Qualifcation Miles (MQM)? The Definitive Thread

Ok, I'm getting a bit restless for official word I will say. Maybe there will be a 2 for 1 mqm Black Friday sale this Friday AM (not likely but still would generate a lot of easy cash fast...)

I really wish they would have released it by now if it's coming. I have to buy a ticket today for my trip in two weeks. IF this is coming I am doing the long way in FC to get close enough to only need 10,000. IF this isn't coming why waste the money.... Hmm...

Guess there's always a chance they will not sell MQMs despite it being pure (?) profit...

What about those people (above) that said that they talked to a Platinum representative and they said it was DEFINITELY happening...??? Any further word about it?

I had to call the diamond desk about something and asked the rep if he heard if the MQM offer was coming back.

He told me it was a popular question getting asked a lot and he hadn't heard either way and since it was a promo he would have no way of knowing and recomended I check on Delta.com on 12/1

Here's the thing.. when you ask someone not in a position to really know what you are getting is the "definite" gossip version not the "real version' LOL!

Most companies don't release info to their employees until just prior to the public release just because they know that they can't keep their mouths shut. I figured the "phone rep" told me source was as reliable as my view and nothing more.

2013 - Will Delta Sell Medallion Qualifcation Miles (MQM)? The Definitive Thread

Assuming they do this promo again, would most agree it will be the same cost as last year or likely more expensive?

Assuming the costs are the same as last year, I believe the cheapest rate was on the order of 10 cents per mile. Many flights can be had for less then that, including some runs in the front cabin. Just debating how much my time is worth in the air versus the ground, and whether I should just nab the deal now and lock in my mqm price at well below 10 cents/mile.

I expect more... that's the other side. If it costs too much then I won't bother either. I don't have time for a mileage run so.

And AA is asking a LOT for their program so....
