Delta New 737-900ER Interior

Found this video on youtube. It looks to be something made by Boeing for Delta's Flight Attendants to help familiarize them with the new Sky Interior, since this will be Delta's first with the new interior.

Not an overly interesting video, but gives you lots of views of the cabin.

Thanks for sharing. I'm going to miss... turning left at 2L on the 757s!

The aircraft cabin in the video looks sleek, modern, and clean.

Which type of cabin divider is being used - soft or hard? Would be nice if Delta used a similar design as VX, with blue plexiglass.

One observation. When the guy in the video is seated, the economy seats look really narrow.

Looks like a hard bulkhead, at least on the edges. See the end of the video.

Also, looks like row 5 (there will be 5 rows of first, right?) will have pretty limited recline.

That's a closet that is acting as a cabin divider. What's on the AB/ABC side?

F seat pitch is 37" which is tight for domestic US F. By comparison, UA offers 38" on the 737-900. AA offers 39" on the A319 and 40" on the 738.

Cabin divider is a curtain on ABC side.

DEF side is a hard bulkhead - the closet for F is behind 5CD.

So 5AB reclines, with 6ABC having lots of legroom and underseat storage, which 5CD has limited recline and 6DEF has legroom limited by the wall with no underseat storage?

Had you looked at the seat map and done the research, there is no Row 6. Row 10 (only ABC) has a curtain, row 11 DEF has a closet as DlGrkItal744 mentions correctly (as he normally is)

Of course it is. You can feel smell like a new car. It is brand new aircraft.

Me too. Plus the slightly better F:Y...

And from that perspective the pitch looks painful. I'm hoping it's an optical illusion...

Sure looks that way, unless those seats pitch forward while reclining...

Yes, DL really packed in a LOT of seats into this plane and limited pitch in all locations. Back when we were discussing/speculating on the configuration I don't think anybody (or almost nobody) expected them to get 20F/160Y in that plane. Many were thinking 20/154 or 20/157 (while wishing for 24F). Standard Y is going to be super tight with only 30-31". Glad its new, but very disappointed in the config and pitch.

The look and feel is cool, but I am dreading a transcon on one of these birds.... seems very tight...

WOW, 30-31" pitch in Y is getting really close to Spirit's territory. Which seats are they putting in Y? Are they a new super slim model like some of the European airlines are using?

Info on seats is here from the DL rep. To fit that many they are definitely slimline seats.. hopefully more comfortable than what is in the 757 or 737-800s.

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...ce-update.html

Here is a snip
The 21 Economy Comfort and 139 Economy seats are the same comfortable model (B/E Aerospace Pinnacle) we’re installing on the A330 and 757-300 fleets. This seat offers an articulating seat pan for additional knee clearance and we’ve added extra foam padding for more comfort and a winged, four-way adjustable headrest. Each seat also features a sleek, integrated high resolution 9” monitor with USB power available at every seat. Standard power outlets to charge your laptop or tablet are also available at every seat, in direct view and easily accessible.
