New 'E' fare sightings out of MSP

Just noticed some 'E' fare availability out of MSP. Notably, MSP-LAS, MSP-TPA, MSP-RSW, MSP-MCO, and MSP-FLL. First time I recall seeing anything other than DTW to Florida routes (and a few international routes than seem to have come and gone).

Are you saying there are actually E fares available or just bucket availability?

I'm seeing some as soon as Oct 19 (MSP-LAS). Florida routes seem to be coming in November. Note that there are 21-day advance purchase and Saturday night stay requirements.

These are all Spirit destinations right? This is probably why they are being offered.

The usual "E" rules

NON REFUNDABLE FARES
NO CHANGES ALLOWED
NO PRERESERVED SEATS
UNUSED COUPONS HAVE NO RESIDUAL VALUE
TICKET MAY NOT BE APPLIED TOWARDS PURCHASE OF ANY OTHER TICKET

With the $200 domestic change fee on non-refundable fares, the main difference is the non-reserved seats. If you buy a 'V' fare on these routes, there's not going to be much value left if you change/cancel them.

In a search engine optimized by fare, the E fare gives DL a leg up. Not many people analyze the downstream consequences.

I fly to FLL 2 times a month - it is pretty standard for fares to drop in November and then in Dec they add 2 additional nonstops a day so availability goes up. Still, I do not recall ever seeing the E fare!
