Mixed class upgrade
 

I received my first medallion upgrade for the second leg of my flight on Friday. So I'm currently in Y from MIA to ATL and then upfront from ATL to TUL.

I'm curious if I am able to use expedited security at MIA ?

I did a couple searches on the board and only found info on baggage allowances.

Check your boarding pass. If it says Sky Priority, you can use the expedited security.

Since you a Silver, you may qualify anyway due to your elite status. You BP will say elite below your name.

When you log in to look at your trip, does it show "Sky Priority"? If so, I'm pretty sure that will print on both of your boarding passes. That ought to get you in. It's been quite some time since I was in the same situation and I'm pretty sure I got SP for the entire itinerary.

Yes if you get upgraded for one segment, you receive sky priority on all of the other associated segments in that direction.

Yes you will get Sky Priority line for security at MIA. You also get an extra checked bag if you want it. You will have sky priority boarding for both flights as well if you want to use it.

Yes, it does say Sky Priority on my iten. I'm hoping I still get up front for the first leg as there are still 7 seats open up front ...

+1, this is indeed the rule.

Just remember, if you take advantage of the 3 free checked bags on the outbound and don't get an upgrade before you drop bags on the return, you'll be paying for the extra two!
