Delta dedicates 757 to Mariano Rivera
Saw on Facebook that Delta dedicated a 757 to #42 Mariano Rivera today. One of the greatest to play the game!

I've got a huge issue with this.
First, he's still playing. Also, he is still able to use Jackie's number due to Jackie's being retired across baseball after Mo already had his. After Mo is done, the number remains Jackie's and will never be worn again. The fact that they painted it on the plane as Mo's number is bull****. |

No, don't switch. Send a message to Richard why your displeased with it. Who ever made the decision to do this, needs to know that there are people out there who don't agree with what was done. It may then prevent it from happening again with some other "Famous" persons.
I believe it was done due to Delta's strong commitment to the NY market, not to offend anyone, but it may have. |
I love these "enhancements"

That is awful. So ugly. What will the Mets fans think of DL's NYC love? ;)

He is a relief pitcher, for chrissakes. |
Since he only came in for the short hops, shouldn't it be a CRJ? :)

Got my laugh for the day |
Seems that some people do not understand marketing. Delta is the official airline of the Yankees and it's good PR for them with all the investments they are making in NYC. Not sure why anyone would be offended by this, Yankees fan, sports fan or not (I'm not a Yankees fan).
It's amazing that people will find just about anything to complain about. |
