Renumbered Gates in JFK?
In looking at my flight this afternoon, it appears that DL may have renumbered the gates in Terminal 2 to create a virtual "concourse C". I am departing out of C62 with Terminal 2 listed below that.
Anyone know if this renumbering is true? I can't locate this on any of the airport diagrams on delta.com or on the PA's website and would like to scope out which gate is which in this new layout. |

Yes it's true that the T2 gates will be renamed the "C" gates to avoid any confusion between say Gate B22 in T4 and Gate 22 in T2...
Meanwhile, pax scratch their heads wondering WTH is going on with gates at JFK....??? |

"Will be" or "have been" renamed? 'seems like perfect opportunity for DL social media team to spring into action. But no, they'll hide, lurk and adjust Corp "spin".

Also, does anyone read anything into the two A concourse gates listed on the terminal map? Those were the two gates NW commonly used just before the merger. I wonder if they are adding some overflow flights there or if that's where the KL or VS will depart from. |
I see that the club symbol on T4 where the oasis is has been removed. No more access to it?

That was a stopgap measure. |

I would imagine not.
That was a stopgap measure. They said a Delta Elite Plus on an international trip would get in...but a SkyClub membership is no longer allowed and that Delta "Has their own club now..." |

Thanks for posting this. It's nice to see a DL map that lists each gate rather than a range--maybe they will do this for all hubs!?!? (Hint DL marketing/ops teams.)

Was going to make this a different thread, but it might fit here too -- Is there any rhyme/reason to which flights are arriving leaving from T2 vs T4?
Early in the T4 days, Delta tried to keep certain destinations at T4, and even had signage to that affect. Is there any consistency to what's ending up where now? I'm assuming all the 50 and 70-seaters will still end up at the bus-station at T2, but there's still 8 mainline gates at T2. |

Even with the renumbering they still skip Gate C65 (former Gate 24). Why do they even bother skipping one as that gate is impossible to use because of how Gates C64 (23) and C66 (25) are set up
