Delta award travel miles
Do the actual miles flown on an a Delta award ticket go towards the million miler status?

All MQMs [EDIT: on paid tickets] do and not just from actual flight but also bonus for fare class bump and from AMEX spend / new card bonus as well.

PS - reasonably sure year end buy MQMs from would as well but not dumb enough to buy them to see.

I need to not post when I get up at 2AM from Europe

I still want someone to own up if they ever purchased MQMs at year end at the silly DL price and if those count (I am sure they do but...)

Is that definitely true? I've never looked too closely at my MM accrual but this surprises me. They count bonus/spend miles but not BIS miles on an award ticket? Even though the BIS are actual...you know...miles flown?

Again, see up thread. Missed the word AWARD!

However, if you are on a PWM or pay with miles ticket, THAT does earn you MQMs and class of service bonus.

I've never dunna PWM ticket, but, from what I've read here, I thought MQM earnings were only on F & J tix? If not, what am I thinking of?

Nope did both this year and both earn MQMs.

Having said that it was a few months ago and we know "enhancements" can happen overnight without notice, waring and so on.

MM is really Million MQMs (including grandfathered amounts from merged airlines).
