Wow, I've taken that flight many times. Glad every one's ok.

Anyone on board DL 1170 to CMH this morning?

Heard from a friend this morning that DL1170 (LAX-CMH) went off the runway on landing this morning. Anyone on board this flight or know anything about it? This would be a big deal in Columbus.

was it a 757 or a 737? if a 737, not much luck with those guys lately

Actually just flew out of CMH. It was their SkyTeam 737, on the redeye from LAX. They had it towed to C56.

Everyone was okay as I understand. Since that is out of the way, I can say that of all planes, I'm sure SkyTeam loved that it was the SkyTeam bird.

You mean the new one that became a sea lion?

Looks like it was ship 3758:

It spent the full day in CMH and is now on its way to ATL.

The FT headline said it was a 737-700 with 153 passengers and that did not seem correct as I did not think a -700 could hold that many. The Columbus DIspatch said it was a 757. That seemed odd as I did not think DL would use 757 on this route when CVG flight is a 737. Flight Aware does not always show the correct aircraft either.

I believe it's a 737-800, not 700. Ship number N3758Y if you want to look it up on airliners... I saw ship 3758 above, but couldn't figure out what the last letter was.

And guess who we just parked next too? I mentioned the runway incident and the FA started to laugh.

ya.. I mean, could you imagine the different outcome if the airport hadn't been around a body of water?

What if the water had been cold, deep, rough, shark-infested, etc.?
