I really think the endgame here is line management.... But I'll happily take the advance notice.

Very useful indeed. I had prechjeck at IND and it was nice but I did not know until my Boarding Pass was scanned one day and the TSA girl said -You are PreCheck" - so this is useful or will be. Sadly they do not yet have precheck at MCI. Very good though.

Two thumbs up. ^^

There was never any security benefit to not disclosing this information, since the pre-check status was easily visible if you decoded the PDF417 barcode at the bottom of the boarding pass. So this doesn't change anything from a security perspective, but it definitely makes my life easier since I now know if it's worth walking to the central checkpoint in Seattle.

Sounds like by the end of the week this will work for kiosk, online, and mobile BPs. DLCorpGuy, will this also appear on agent-printed passes?

Thanks!

He already confirmed that.

Exactly what he implied and what I came away with.

I like how being a PM makes you a lower security risk.

(i miss the 3 beeps )

LAS and MCO are godsends. I find the difference in getting through security, regular vs. Pre-Check, to be huge.

I hope the dragons will start looking for this on boarding passes and directing people who shouldn't be in the precheck lane into another lane.

I know some people who aren't precheck eligible with no status have figured out they can just go in the precheck lane instead of the general lane to save time or they get in the precheck lane having no idea what it is. This should cut down on that problem.

I was under the impression that if you received Precheck status through Delta due to your status as a PM or DM, you maintained that status even if you dropped to no status the next year. Isn't that the case?

If you fly enough just get GE.

I checked in this morning, and my boarding card doesn't have any TSA Precheck indication on it, but the barcode does decode to show a "3".

When exactly does "starting today" mean?

It does make a HUGE difference at LAS. Especially if you are SDCing or your upgrade hasn't cleared yet seeing they don't have a SP security lane, only first class (before precheck a lot of agents would still allow you to use the First class lane with the SP banner but it was no guarantee).
