It would be perfect if a flight out of LAX forgot the gluten free meal choice and had broken IFEs and no diet drinks and the protests were so loud that it caused an earthquake, starting fires and killing 100s of people and then PR Weezer could use it to make a snarky remark about DYKWIAs? I was on the train heading east. There was a delay when departing from D. Of course 5 seconds after I chose to get off and walk to E, the train was closing for departure. The delay overall was about 90 seconds. Just wanted to pass that along.

Worth noting that the same company that makes the train cars (Bombardier) is also responsible for bringing the CRJ family to the world. Coincidence? :D

It's only different in ATL. It'd be "Delta" overload if a controller said "Delta (the airline) XZY, taxi via Delta (the taxiway) to the ramp" or something like that. Just a safeguard used to prevent reduce the likelihood of some confusion

I seem to recall that DFW calls their International Terminal D David rather than Delta for similar reasons as ATL.

In regards to the popularity of this thread, we're glad Georgia's on your mind.

If we can't name ATL after Sherman, can we at least rename it Hartsfield-Jackson Hotlanta International Airport? :D

Moving sidewalks are fine. It's the trains that are having problems. The Bombardier guys are running test runs with them

Take note, you folks who regularly counsel others that a 35 minute connection in ATL is no sweat.

Interesting. I was on it several times this morning and it seemed like it was running slower and jerkier than usual -- I saw several people almost take a tumble when we left the station.

Watching others stumble and fall on the train is the only part of connecting through ATL that puts a smile on my face. I don't even bother with the hand rails anymore. Years of riding that train has given me a well calibrated rear-end and I can sense where the balance point should be.

Not to mention all the people who exit the train at the T-gates only to pause, turn around, and re-board to continue to onward baggage claim.
