How long is the delay, will they rebook into F if booked in Y... lots of variables here.

I'd say standard domestic is $400. Less if only minor delay and/or rebooked into F from Y.

Domestic? International?

What is the length of the proposed delay?

For domestic it usually is between $100 and $400. $100-$200 for 2+/- hours, $300-$400 for 4+/- hours or overnight. If overnight usually includes a hotel as well.

International is usually a little more as the length of delay is usually longer. I would expect between $400 and $600 for international.

Recently got $300 for a 1 hr. delay DTW-MSP.
It did not affect the flight I was connecting to (MSP-GFK). So I was still able to get to my final destination in time.
Was happy to take it! Was just a matter of which skyclub would I sit in (DTW or MSP).
The funny thing is, they didn't even need me, but at last minute (after telling me I wasn't needed, and I should board) the GA just said screw it, close the doors and get the plane out on time.

The flight is domestic and economy

The delay will most likely be overnight.

Thank You.

Just to give another data point, VDB'd over the phone yesterday from a 12:45PM FLL-ATL flight to the 2PM for $200 per person and two confirmed seats in First.

Wow - how did you manage that? Did they call you or did you call them?

Could you elaborate a little on how this happened? First, did they happen to call you - You call them? Any additional info would be appreciated!

Only your friend can determine what's "worth" it to him. But, the key is to have every part of the "deal" worked out at the time it's done.

1. How much of a voucher.
2. Hotel (which one)
3. Meals
4. What's the reroute look like? Is it in F, is it a good seat, will it involve flying into the Midwest/East Coast where there are storm cancellations/delays already posting?

A few days ago I heard a GA at DTW ofer $600 and a hotel for VDB, two needed, on a short CRJ flight. The next flight would have arrived about 18 hours later.

That's $33 an hour. I think that's what the line workers in Milwaukee used to make at the Schlitz brewery while watching the bottles zizz by in the mechanical assembly line. While drinking free beer.

I was offered $1k on the last international voluntary bump I offered.
