The clank is gone on my DM tags

I just received my new DM tags and they are twice as thick as the previous year's tags. Best of all, they don't have the old clanking sound. Now my occasional walk of shame to the back of the aircraft will be a bit more discreet

I just received my new tags as well but haven't used them yet. I eliminated the clanking factor over a year ago! I put the DM tags in a plastic ID badge holder that wasn't in use any longer.

Interesting, the ones I received in Europe a couple of weeks ago still clank.

Thanks guys, but there's already a thread discussion on this...

“Do You Know Who I Am?”: The Definitive Thread of DYKWIA Stories

Perhaps a Mod could be kind enough to move it to the appropriate thread, thanks!!!

I think this deserves its own thread.

WAIT... How will we know who we should worship as they walk the concourse in ATL.

Just today I passed a man with every DM tag since it started clanging happily on his bag. (He sounded like a cow being herded, but whatever...) I am sure he will have to leave Delta now...

The first DM tags were plastic. I'm sure he'll handle it somehow.

I like the clank. My tags get bent badly, but they're still there.

I still use my plastic DM tags; much better than the metal one's.

I just noticed the new tags don't have any bar codes. Looks like the clankers will be going back on.

What do you need the barcode for?

My last plastic is now only 3/4 and won't last much longer

The barcode has your contact information, if you luggage tracking tag get ripped off or destroyed, it makes it easier for Delta to get your tag back to you.
