Figured a highly collaborative effort like this needs a wikipost. As items and codes are confirmed, let's centralize them in one place rather than thumb through hundreds of discussion posts.

Like many companies, Delta uses demographic and other data to help provide a personalized experience for our customers, improve how we communicate with them and design offers customized to their interests. While the data displayed was only available to the specific user, we sincerely regret that this code displayed and the confusion it may have caused for our customers. We worked to resolve the issue promptly upon discovering it.
How about customizing that to my interests so I don't have to use the telephone to book award travel?
Pathetic...

In the SkyClub and on the Plane?
Yeah!
They are tracking everything and estimating what it costs Delta to continue having you (and me and everyone else) as DMs!

I got to see mine, but there is no way I would publish the info here on a public and archived ("forever") forum. Especially the codes that are not clear what they mean. It could be your felony arrest record for all you know.
This is a very informative episode for most of us who never get to look into the data that is being stored and tracked and analyzed by the 1000's of entities we come in contact with. Next time anyone says "Big Data" to you, you now know what they mean.

One of the documents linked in this thread reminded cs employees to keep using the codes, which is what leads me to believe they were using the codes. The woman who wrote the article was a DL bigwig who was also an attorney. The link is towards the start of this thread.

- It is perfectly fine not to fix the award calendar and other stuff. Because cheating, lying, and empty promises are completely legal. Yes, it may hurt our feelings, and it is not a good way to treat people. But, as several wise posters have pointed out, Delta is a business. We should not have any personal emotion towards a business. As long as it has the most convenient and economic flights, we should fly Delta. So let's keep climbing.

DL employees would be foolish to access this board from any DL controlled Internet connection; be it from home (via VPN), or from work.

For anyone still looking to "catch" their own traffic on this issue, I recommend using Fiddler which is a very simple HTTP traffic monitoring tool. When I have some free time, I'm interested to see what my info is like from DL.
Has anyone had success using Fiddler? I have been playing around with it this evening, but am not finding any profile info.
