Well no need for any extra sections out of the new england region after that pathetic showing by the Pats last night. I want my Sunday evening back.

I guess there won't be many other teams flying around for games that day.

I thought it was the NBA that uses those?

Do they schedule NBA games to conflict with the superbowl?

DL is bulking up MSY for the 4'th. They have SFO, BWI, and BOS non stop service, some on 767's, which none are typical nonstop routes from MSY. On their LAX route which normally operates once a day, they have four departures including one 767.

Also, the smallest plane on the MSY-ATL route is a 757-300 that day; the rest are 767-300's except for a real treat in the early morning, a 747-400 (probably using it in the middle of the night and then have it go to NRT the next day).

On all other hub cities, there are mostly mainline flights. MEM and CVG, which normally get no mainline service as of now, both have DL flights, including some 757's. JFK gets a 767 that day too, and LGA gets som 757's.

Good thing they have a Sky Club!!

The Sky Club is about 1/4 the size of the LGA D Club. There's room for 4 at the bar.

They've completed their renovations and there are now some decent places to eat as well as much more and better seating in the gate area. The place looks better than it ever has.

There's still no TSA Pre-Check.

The 54 seat A319s are definitely the NBA configuration with all first class seats. I believe that DL has to lease it's own planes back from the NBA to operate these flights since the NBA charter fleet is dedicated exclusively to operate NBA charters during the season and not supposed to be put in revenue service. Definitely will be a cool ride for those lucky enough to fly on them.

As a side note, I was looking at our schedule for Feb 4 from MSY to ATL and didn't see a 747 on any of the flights like someone posted. All I see is domestic 767-300s and the last flight is a 757-300. A 747 would be really sweet if it actually flew such a short domestic hop! I'm wondering if maybe that poster saw a tentative schedule for if the Falcons were in the Super Bowl. I think someone else was saying DL was operating an MSY-BOS flight but that was only if the Pats won.

The NBA has a normal schedule on Super Bowl weekend. 12 games on Friday, 9 games on Saturday, 3 games on Super Bowl Sunday, and 8 games on Monday.

I saw a Delta 319 parked on the opposite side of the airport from Terminal 1 at SMF the other day. I'm guessing that this was an NBA charter. How many of this type of aircraft (54 seats, all F) does DL operate?

There are 8 A319s in the NBA configuration
