You wouldn't believe how many calls we've had!!
I called frustrated after having 3 days unable to log into the new Delta
The nice Diamond lady told me that I wouldn't believe the mess it is. They have had so many calls as folks can't book or do things online.
I asked her if she knew the Delta.com website was effectively down all yesterday afternoon and evening and she said they were swamped with mad customers.
I told her I had a $7000 ONE WAY ticket next week that I couldn't even see. She told me that their IT department had refused to just go back to the old website, but had all hands on deck trying to fix a known issue with Apple computers.
MY OPINION - FIRE the VP of IT
Second choice - How about an apology from Delta. It is not too much to ask.
I know some Delta lovers/employees will say its not an issue, but when the Diamond desk is as frustrated as this lady is...I have to believe it is a problem for many many customers.

Dieuwer: And how is that relevant. Some times I shake my head. Where did intelligence and logic go, or is it an inherent selfishness?
Who cares if you logged in
If the issue is so big the Diamond desk are frustrated then Delta should do something

If the VP of IT of Delta did not realize that Apple outsold any other computer manufacturer in 2012 then I'm right he or she should be fired.
I accept that the issue may be Safari or Apple but that is like saying we developed our tool for dinosaurs and are surprised it didx't work for leading edge companies

Few websites are optimized for Safari since it's a relatively small percentage. Now does that let DL off the hook by no means. The far bigger issues are the booking issues they have been having and poor integration with the res system. Cant get that right you have serious issues on your hands.

I have yet to have single technical problem with the new website, and I use Chrome on an Apple Macbook Pro. I even log in with my account sometimes, and Mr. txaggie94's account other times, so I have the capability to REALLY confuse delta.dumb.
I've got 6 reservations right now - I've been able to view all of them, request EC seats (except the stupid Virgin Australia-operated flights for the beginning of February), and see all my activity.
I'm just waiting for my issues to show up.... I'm sure this post will ENSURE I have an issue soon!

there is no such thing as 'optimized for Safari'. 'optimized' for a certain browser is 10-years-ago thinking.
