Can you use the $260 and change your flight to a DFW-MCO-NYC flight? You'll have to connect in ATL or MEM, but seems like a better choice if it actually works
P.S. Sidebar moral of the story, you should always book 2 one-ways. NYC-MCO is not a round-trip route and 2 one-ways makes these changes easier/cheaper |
Also, coterminal SDC is an unpublished DM benefit.

I'm the OP, in case people have lost track of the thread.
Thanks for all of your thoughts--and keep them coming, especially if they're about traffic between LGA and JFK during Friday afternoon rush hour! Just to make things clear, the reason why I have this emergency trip to DFW is for a job interview. I know that the interview will run until 10:30, and it may go on longer. So the only way I can make it to an outbound flight from JFK at 6:50 is to fly from DFW to LGA. Despite having grown up in New York, I don't know if I have the same moxy that USFFlyer has to play it cool until the departure date. I will let you guys know what I end up doing.... |

I just did a coterminal SDC tonite. Was booked JFK-SLC-OAK and SDC to JFK-SFO. Ticket agent at first thought it was not allowed but another agent said PM and DM can now do it. I dont know if they just liked me or if that is official policy, but it got me home 5 hours earlier. Used a SWU for the upgrade as well, and while it took some time, they eventually got it processed and coded correctly.
