Fly DL - Miles to AS
Apologies if this is something more obvious to the more knowledgeable, but after many years of flying I find myself in a situation which hasn't arisen before.
Only ever flown UA or AS and the miles go to my FF account with those airlines. Had a trip booked in business with UA to Manchester UK, but they kept changing the schedule until the connections were just to tight a time. I cancelled the UA flight and for the first time in many years of flying TATL booked a flight with DL. When booking I put in my AS FF details, but wanted to ask that I'm understanding correctly that DL will credit my AS FF account with the miles for this trip. Like I said never been in the situation of flying on one airline and getting miles credited to a partner airlines program before, so wanted to check my understanding is correct. Thanks. |
Fly DL - Miles to AS
It will take a few days to post but just so long as your number is correct, you should have no issues getting the miles posted to your AS account. If you are worried, keep your boarding passes (print out an extra copy you can keep at home) so if any problems arise, you have the copies.

Definitely keep the boarding passes until your flts are credited to your account. I have flown on AS as a DL codeshare and the miles posted the next day. Also flown with SkyTeam partners and all the miles posted properly. Usually it works well but sometimes there are glitches. That's why the BP's are so important.

I travel on AS all the time and credit to DL. As mentioned it may take a few days but you will get credit for them.

Thanks all for confirming it works the way I understood. Appreciate the tip to keep the boarding passes, that I will do.
