Gold Amex Gives Sky Priority?

Gold Amex Gives Sky Priority?
Did OLCI for a family member heading home today and while she has a Gold Delta Amex, she is not a Medallion of any sort (nor has she ever been). I sent her a link to the eBP via web and when she clicked the link it pulled up a boarding pass tagged with Sky Priority!
I know there were issues in the past with eBP showing SP for FO and have seen questions about SP for Reserve cards, but for Gold? Was this a one-time glitch or is this the standard now?
At least lizbeth is happy...

What there a 1st class seat in the mix on any of her segments? As an FO, if I get an upgrade at the window for any of my flights, I've found that I automatically get SKY for all other connections on the same day even though I should technically be in Zone 1.

No, Amex does not give sky priority. There should have been an upgrade or a first class segment in the itinerary. For silver medallion or gold amex, it is sky zone.

I have no status, but ever since I got the Plat DL Amex my BPs have had the red Sky Priority banner on them. The boarding zone is Zone 1. The first few times it happened I thought it was strange, but now it sounds like I'm not the only one.
