I want to turn my DM cards into a real cowbell, not very mechanically inclined so does anyone have ideas on how? I cant figure out how to turn it into a ham sammich so a cowbell it must be.

Bend one tag into 3 to cover 3 sides. Use the other to cover the top and remaining side. Might have to cut to fit. Then just need to hang the striker.

You may need two but if you had some sort of tin press and sheers you should be able to.

What I would do is make an hourglass like shape out of it using the sheers. Then fold the two "bell" ends so they are the sides of the cowbell. Next, take your second DM card and cut two pieces to fit on either side of the folded piece - creating the enclosed bell. You may need to solder them together or you could use some sort of metal epoxy.

Come to think of it, you may have just given me a good weekend project. I may have to try this.^

Not really an answer to the OP's exact question, but I sharpen one corner of my card down to a razor edge and use it to fight off the gate lice.

Have not even seen a farm in years, so have no use at all for a cow bell.

Great idea! I have several laying around. Wonder if I took 4 of them, had someone tack weld them together in the shape, and attached a ringer in the middle?

If we all had cowbells, I would feel like Im in the middle of a SNL skit.... Might make flying more enjoyable :) n

Two years from now I will make a DL DM cowbell. Bet I could wear it as bling and get some ladies!

I wouldn't suggest wearing DM tags as earrings.

That's a thought, haha. I was referring to throwing it on a chain and wearing it around my neck.

Don't even have to bend in half if you don't want to. Just go to the local WalMart (homage to kettles), pick up some large fishing lead shots, attach to a wire, thread wire through the strap hole on the card. Viola!!!

We had a lady in town who used spent bullet casings to melt to make the Olympic cowbells in 200s... So, you could always melt down the DM cards...

As soon as I saw the title of this thread this clip immediately popped into my head...
