Looks like a travel agent to me; I do not think it's an official DL site.

Yes, it is an official Delta site for travel agents only. It was a PMNW site for agent booking of NWA/KLM and NWA WORLDVacations travel packages. It's became the combined agent site for Delta after the merger. MLT Inc., was a wholly owned NWA subsidiary.

DL has a bunch not for general use like the one for buddy pass info or job openings etc. I had a post a while back about it and the Alitalia one:

Interesting... I thought that Airlines now eschew the use of Travel Agents, so this seems an unlikely afflilation. Doesn't Delta want everyone to use Delta.com?

MLT is owned by DL, but they are an TA. The not only run Delta Vacations, but United Airlines Vacations and AreoMexico Vacations. Vacation packages are far more profitable than just airfare, so there's no reason give up that marketing channel. As an outfit, MLT still runs a bit like it's a NW company. For instance Gift Cards don't expire on DL Vacations, unlike the goofy scrip the airline offers.

Be that as it may, DL may have a love/hate relationship with TAs, but they know that the majority of their corporate customers use them for cost controls. They actively are expanding the catalog for TAs. Most notably offer EC seats via the GDS channel.

Like most businesses, airlines realize they can't sell all their products (seats) on their own. Another fallacy is that airlines including DL don't pay commissions to travel agencies. In fact, DL still pays huge amounts of commissions if you look at their P&L.

Airlines are the only business I know of though that despise their customers, their employees and their sales agents but still stay in business :D

This site is directly navigable from DL.com. At the bottom, click Travel Agents then United States. Pretty official....
