A) THey've got shoes on, that's like an order of magnitude better than bare feet

B) not sure what it being biz class has to do with it, the myth of J flyers being classier is one of the dumbest ones out there, considering the absolute mountains of evidence to the contrary

Both bare feet and shoes suck in my opinion, I feel skeeved out by people's stinky feet on my TV monitor, and I shudder to think what these people (like all people) have been stepping on that they are transferring to the seating area. And like OroroT, I wipe down my whole area with a wipe, from the tray table (and where it touches the seat back) to the monitor, to the headrest and armrest and the seat belt. I try not to use the seatback pocket either, and I wipe the outside where people put their feet. But I'm a little much sometimes...

OT for the DL thread, but I once saw a guy with both feet up, legs crossed, on the tray table in CI J (his seat was upright). I was simultaneously put off by it, incredulous that it could be comfortable, and impressed by his flexibility. He shifted positions before I could get a picture.

Since we're off topic, I don't think I've seen this before, but recently TCON this guy in the row across from me was sleeping face down, all wrapped up in a blanket like a baby or a mummy, across three seats with his knees bent and his feet (the top where your shoelaces would be) resting against the window. I don't know how that's comfortable, either.

Its not about support from below. The push against the feet is the feeling going for. Makes the leg muscle do a bit of stretching that you don't get on the foot rest. Get confined to a hospital bed for more then a few hours and you have the same issue.

BTW when did AMS/SFO get 787? It's been 777 and 747 daily at least as of July 4th when I flew.

2 Weeks ago on a flight from Reno to SLC I got bumped to first bulkhead seat. After sitting for a short time I realized in HORROR that I had put my feet ( with shoes on) up on the wall. I immediately removed them and looked around to see who was taking pics and getting ready to post here!!!!!!
Guess I'm safe!

Huh. And I thought it was needing to get the feet above the butt to increase blood flow to the brain.

Can't photo it but why oh why do people chew gum like a cow with a cud and crunch ice at 80 dB? It's so disgusting and I hadn't encountered it before moving to the US. Right now our room in JFK SC is dominated by one dude loudly chomping on a glass full of ice. So nasty. Yuck.

Frozen water is "disgusting", and "nasty"??? At what temperature does it become acceptable?

Misophonia; it's not uncommon to be upset, angered or annoyed by the sound of other people chewing.

The only time I EVER chew gum is on a plane to help equalize my ear pressure-hate chewing gum any other time.
