Shouldn't the FA ask her to put her feet down? Like you said, the bulkhead is one thing, can't fault someone for having their feet on the wall with the terrible pitch it offers, but to have your feet on a setback like that could wind up tearing the seat.

I am less grossed out at that than I am at someone walking around in nasty dirty socks on the airplane, where it looks like they just flipped em over.

Unlike many around here, I dont care about the bulkhead and feet (so long as socked or shod) on it. However, on a seat? Pretty rude. But whatever, this is flying after all - not a ride on the Orient Express.

This is inexcusable. It's one thing for a pilot or someone in the cockpit to spice up their tea with a little rum, but to allow someone to put their feet on another person's seat??

I once nodded off in flight and awoke to find my forehead planted into the seat of the person in front of me. As someone who hates to recline and impose on others' space (much less be reclined into), I was mortified to find myself in someone else's space. I would have apologized profusely, but they were asleep and seemed (thankfully) to have not noticed.

The worst thing I have ever been guilty of was rolling over onto the person in the seat next to me (thankfully also asleep!) while in coach on a SLC-ATL red eye. I have not slept on a plane since, as I am scared to death what a person who usually sleeps on their stomach could be guilty of when attempting to sleep on their back in an uncomfortable airplane seat!

My only issue w the photo is that she didn't put the BE socks on when she boarded. Rookie move, in my book, to not have that fortress of solitude while on board against the germs of others. Why subject one's own shoes or socks to other people's head (or foot) germs? :rolleyes:

ETA: do they have amenity kits w socks for transcontinental BE flights? If not then the lady in the shot should slather her shoes in purell. Though I do love her green shoes!

Did the guy ever say anything to her? I would have definitely (and politely ;)) asked her to remove her feet from my head rest!

Public floors are always going to be germ fests regardless of what people wear on their feet.

But people should not put their feat (however covered) on others' chairs. That is truly disgusting.

Wouldn't one quick rocket recline take care of this once and for all? :D:D:D

it was probably an Upgrade. There was like 10 seats in J still for sale just before flight time. Not that it matters.

I saw a woman do exactly this on a flight a couple of weeks ago. Wonder if it was the same person?

The only difference was that the pax on my flight removed her shoes first. I am not sure if that makes it better or worse. The guy in front complained to FA who woke the woman and told her to desist.

I would say removing ones shoes first is definitely worse. And this person on your flight actually fell asleep like that? wow.
