Are not these parents making the conscious decision to travel? Why should other travelers have to deal with you changing your kids' diapers and all that goes along with that because it's too challenging for you to do so in the lav on the changing table? They don't put them there for decoration. If you are unable to handle dealing with an infant/toddler appropriately while on an airplane, maybe you should just consider a different mode of transportation with more flexibility regarding a place to care for your child's potty needs. It's foul and unsanitary to the max to do this anywhere other than the one place designed for that purpose.

Appologies for the late welcome from me ..Welcome to FT!

Anyhow, yeah, this thread is as it says -disgusting. May members and the traveling public take advantage of this thread and learn to be respectful of things other people are going to use and just exercise common decency.

Not disgusting. Socks, long pants, feet on bulkhead not somebody else's armrest. Doesn't bother me.

Feet on the bulkhead have never really bothered me --- unless I'm seated right next to the person.

But I don't understand why anyone would consider it less disgusting because there are socks involved. People sweat into their socks when they have their shoes on, and then they place their sweaty socks on the bulkhead. How is that any different that just putting your sweaty bare feet on the bulkhead? Likewise, if it's dirt from the floor people are worried about, your socks pick up dirt from the floor just as easily as bare feet or shoes --- assuming the person walks around in the socks or touches them to the floor before going wall hunting with them.

If you think that's uncomfortable, during dinner he placed his food tray on the floor next to the bulkhead and would bend over to eat.

seems you're the one who can't get over it, or apparently exercise enough self-control to ignore this thread

Many people do not like to look at other people's bare feet on such prominent display as on the bulkhead.

Many people do not like to look at other people's faces on such prominent display as in public.

Still have to deal with it though.
