This would be good for the back of the armrest to avoid contact with the feet sitting behind you.

I don't understand why airlines don't have FAs do something about it. At least hand out socks and make people keep their feet within their own space.
I have only seen this one time, it was on a RJ a few years ago, FA noticed feet on the bulkhead and scolded the pax with something like "I don't come into your house and put my feet on the furniture do I?" I actually applauded

I was on DL1428 to CLT from ATL last night and the person in 3A behind me decided to make use of my armrest as a footstool. I didn't bother with getting the Steward nor Stewardess as it's only a one hour flight, but it's irritating nonetheless that some people lack common courtesy or sense.

Personally this doesn't bother me. I'd rather someone put their foot on the back part of the immovable armrest that I'm never going to touch than constantly bump my seat back with their knees.

I can think of a good use for a lighter or ice cube in this situation.

I hate when this happens. I usually just lean on the shoe with my arm to make it uncomfortable for them. Seems to fix the problem.

Sometimes I'm so startled by a foot that it causes me to spill an entire cup of hot coffee.

Wouldn't work with me. Usually on flights I drink Jack+Coke or a cup of red wine, shockingly even in the morning. At 21 I already live a stressful life of work and mishaps.

The coffee would be for the classless, clueless jerk with their foot on my armrest. If you want a sip first order it with Bailey's.

Cool

While we are on the subject of bare feet...
How about some bare feet with that bottle of water in the seat back pocket...

And before anyone asks... yes he drank from that bottle upon arrival...

Put lots of sugar and cream into the coffee to make it nice and sticky. You could even make the feet attract insects until they're washed well.
