...and by brief, I do not mean underwear.

Please use the format below for consistency purposes. Date and chronological order might be helpful as well. Thank you.

Trashed Airplane Garbage and trash filled the seats of an Airbus A332 aircraft after the conclusion of a Philadelphia Eagles charter flight from Seattle to Philadelphia last year. Photograph posted by FlyerTalk member tod701 on December 12, 2013.

The only time ive taken my socks off in J was when I was actually sleeping under the blankets and I had to because the heat was turned up way too much. Sometimes the Asian carriers love the heat.. i do not lol

The airlines could deal with situations like this by having FAs come by and give a heavy hint by offering to make the bare footer more comfortable with free disposable deodorant footies. Most would be embarrassed and just put their own socks or shoes back on.

Not Delta but a partner airline, Virgin Australia domestic for a 60min flight.

Ms 3F:

But then Mr 3E joined in

And back to Ms 3F, whose tinea was giving her issues so she used her inflight magazine and emergency landing card as a scratching post for about 20mins

They were also a loved up couple, spent a bit of time cuddling so Ms 3F could inspect his scalp very closely. Picking for nits or fleas? No idea but whatever she was looking at, was very interesting to her. Even the FA paused her in her march down the aisle to double look at them as he had his face in her breasts while she was picking at his scalp. No photo sorry.

Head lice ... in some cultures them are good eating, extra protein.

UGH, barf!!!

I'm sorry but I cannot stand it when couples are overly intimate in very public arenas. Makes me sick!

Could this mentality that bare feet are OK have anything to do with the cultures that have people remove shoes when they enter the house?

Probably more likely has to do with not having a mother who constantly beat into you head that to only proper place for your feet is on the floor and that you should be considerate of others.

What about those wearing footwear sans socks? I can think of a few easy examples-

Flip flops
Sandals
Boat shoes
Crocs
Etc...

I certainly do understand that feet are gross but there are SO many more gross things on the seats and bulkheads.

I don't think so. I have lived years in China and Korea, and have NEVER seen a local person without socks. We have always had a large supply of slippers at our door for those who come to visit; bare feet would NOT be welcome.

I was watching a Haj video and thinking of temples in India where you remove your shoes, homes in Japan...so many places where shoes come off out of respect and a desire to keep the premises clean. With these bare foot pictures on a plane, when people put their bare feet on magazines, armrests, high up on bulkheads, etc., it is the opposite of respect. I don't understand why airlines don't have FAs do something about it. At least hand out socks and make people keep their feet within their own space.

Do you suppose that putting these on the seat pocket would help?
