Dress code? What dress code? I could name fifty things I've seen in the last week that are not appropriate for a business environment.

"Attire while in a Delta Sky Club must be in keeping with good taste and a dignified atmosphere."

That one isn't enforced very often...

I have seen more than a few people who must have thought "business attire" qualified as their local stripper bar.

Well, I'm definitely guilty of not wearing business attire into a sky club.

I travel "comfortable". That means big baggy shirt and comfy stretch pants and sandals.

So, I'm guessing stiletto heels are out?

I use those to beat on super annoying "First Class-holes".

Other than me, of course, I'm never one of those.

Reminds me of the woman who was able to plead down the 1st degree charge by stating "If I'd planned to hit him, I wouldn't have worn the Manolos".

Of course, if they give off noticeable odor, which is often the case, that's no more proper than poor hygiene resulting in obvious BO, which is also fair game.
I concur in being a little baffled. What is the big deal about bare feet (or bear's feet) other than to foot fetishists? Presumably the person who is displaying bare feet has taken off shoes (and possibly socks). Hypothetically speaking, why is it worse to put bare feet on a seat or tray than to put a briefcase that has probably sat on the ground unprotected?

When I sleep on J TATL flights, I take off my socks and my feet probably become uncovered over time. Is this a problem?

Some people are disgusted by feet. My son's ex-girlfriend was particularly affected by this, she freaked out once when she saw my barefoot accidentally touching my son's.

So, please remember to stow your feet securely in the overhead bins at all times.

Just guessing but DL do provide fresh sleeping socks in the BE kit provided in TATL J ^ - no need to sleep bare footed.

I am unable to sleep with my feet covered. (I may or may not be the only human with this problem) When I was a child I even had my parents cut the feet out of my footie pajamas.

I of course put at least the slippers back on if I need to get up at any point in the flight.

But I would see no issue with bare feet in your seat as long as they are not odorous, or put in a place they do not belong (bulkheads, tray tables, other people seats, etc)

Just too hot. If I were to go to sleep with socks on, midway through the night, I would take them off in my sleep (although I usually don't start with them anymore).

Fair enough - I always take my shoes off in BE.
