These are not the meet and greets that FTers have reported at JFK to whisk them through customs. These are for domestic connections!

At each of these meet and greet encounters, I came off the plane, and there was a DL Red Coat with a printed sign (not hand-written) with my first and last name on it. I tell her that's me, and she says she is there to escort me to my next flight. On the last meet and greet this weekend, I asked her "Why don't any of the other passengers getting one of you?" and she said "Because you fly more with Delta than they do, Mr. DJim."

At the previous ATL Red Coat connection a few weeks ago, she asked me if I would like her to call a golf car. I declined, since I am quite able-bodied.

three months ago I purchased a $50k Delta Private Jets Card, but I only use it to book Delta commercial

The thing I like the best about the Delta Private Jets Card is that all I have to do is email to them and they book all my travel to my preferences, including window seats, preference for flights with WiFi, and booking only flights with V upgrade inventory > 1...CEO (I'm the Chairman at our company) and I...both book coach all the time against the Delta Private Jets Card balance, and we are 100% for V upgrades so far this year...I just own my own small business and travel a LOT.

So are you basically saying that you could spend $50k (minus discounts) to get a Delta Private Jets Card, and then use the pre-paid balance to just book Delta flights? A quick glance at the FAQ says that you have 2 years to use the funds/deposit before you lose it. So you'd have to be spending $25k/year. Wonder if you can use it to book travel for someone else, i.e. a company who has a couple people who travel a lot.

someone posted on here a few months back extolling his purchase of a jets card to pay for all of his and his bosses travel. He also negotiated that he could designate a second person to get complimentary DM.

If you have the spend, I can't see why not.

For someone traveling internationally regularly, $25k isn't unrealistic for yearly personal spend, especially if their company policy allows business class travel. It seems like a great deal if you have the money up front and know you'll spend it.

MSP-SFO is nearly $1,000 per round trip.

Do this a few times a month and you will hit $25k in the year, easy.

PS, can you pay the $50,000 with your DL amex?

It's somewhat a secret... Or perhaps somewhat well known... That if you are willing to prepay 50k in air travel over two years you can redeem exclusively for economy flights per the terms and conditions. While this much travel will likely result in elite status anyways, this is great if you are new to delta and don't had status. They used to have a 25k option but not anymore.

Can the card be used as a form of payment for more than one flyer?

This would be chicken feed for a small sales and consulting firm, with several people doing fly every week at $500 to $1,000, per trip.

This is interesting. My wife and I normally spend about 52-54k per year on flights for international travel between Singapore and the US. Although we are PLT on AA, I wonder if there is any other value to do this aside from the DM and a possible 2% discount if I use the right cc (plus some miles for the purchase of course). The only thing is we don't normally purchase full-fare tix and often travel with our infant son too.

$50K is a newer option, used to be $100K (which is or at least used to be the industry standard)

the promotional $25K '5 hour' is 1 year, so same thing

i wonder if booking for others if you have to travel together all the time or a certain amount

aragno, how is diamond not good? you also call/email (reportedly excellent) private jet reps (possibly dedicated?) see two comments in OP. would also be interesting to hear if red coats (and other VIP services?) have become standard.

if i missed any reports, please link and ill put in OP

I have spent more than that for my travel on DL in each of the last several years. Mostly domestic but some intl. Can the deposit money be used to buy tickets for 3rd parties? Eg if I buy the DL Jet card and decide to fly commercial can I also buy a commercial ticket for somene traveling with me? The 20% discount on full fare business tix is really good deal if it can be appliec to people traveling on the same itinerary.

if flying international full fare J, amex plat offers free companion or discount on one, and supposedly now has some "lower" fares

200K is certainly not bad as bonus on top of spend
