For those who missed it, this is an attempt to research what makes up an HVC as discussed frequently throughout the "Rumour" thread.
Status of PM with a spend of around $20k 101,000 MQM

I'm international, so not all of these MQM are DL miles (AS, AF, KL in there too), but the spend is only DL:
Status: Platinum
MQM: 106,164
Spend: $16,800
Segments: 34
I'd say if I include SkyTeam + AS, the spend is in the neighborhood of $25K in total from 2011, if anyone is doing CPM for MQMs in this.

For the sake of easy analysis, might I suggest a Google Doc like the SC thread was converted to? Might make it easier if you are going to compute averages, percentiles, etc. rather than making rough observations from data spread across many pages of individual posts.

I just noticed it says for last year. No way am I going back through 52 weeks of expenses plus my personal spending to figure that out. But, I did have 142,120 MQMs.

Difficult for me to go back and check all business expenses for the prior year... but after some calculations the closest estimate I get to is:
Diamond Medallion
170,200 MQMs
$52,000 spent on Delta

We're 12 weeks into the year, so that would put your projected 2012 MQMs at 172k for a spend of around $23k... only you know if this is representative of your typical spend and travel patterns, but it should be close enough.
It was easy for me to pull my 2011 spend (even though I only traveled for 9 months) because it was all on one card. And my January statement had my MQMs and MQSs for 2011.

Diamond Medallion (For one year only because of rollover & reserve card usually just a PM), 12k, 149k MQM (30k reserve & 49k rollover) so 70k real MQM. What a cubic zerconia I am!

2011: 112,933 MQM's (140 segments) on $15,131.75 for an average of $0.13/MQM or $108.08/MQS.
This combines business and personal trips but doesn't include the ~$3000 I spent on behalf of my wife (which would've gone elsewhere if I wasn't DM).

Spend was about $90K+ and did another $30K on AA that made me Gold.
This year looks about the same.

2011 Stats: PM, 83k MQM, $10-13k range
I'm a purely leisure traveler and have many choices in who to fly. The only reason I fly Delta is because their current program works for me, however AA is starting to look more attractive.
