Exit row on 777
Been reading FT for a while but never posted. I'm flying DTW to ICN this summer. Reserved an exit row seat in row 44. I've never been on a 777 before. How will this seat be for a 14 hour flight? I'm currently an FO (this trip will make me GM) so with only a 25% discount EC is a little too pricey both ways. This may be the best seat I can get. Thought?

Welcome to FT.
There are lot of opinions in other threads about this, use the search feature to find them. The exit rows are my second favorite seats on the 777 after 31C/G which are in EC. The leg room is unlimited. However the personal entertainment unit and the tray table are in the arm rests which makes them immobile and slightly reduces seat width. If that is a big problem for you you may want to reconsider them. Also, there are often a couple of people hanging around that area waiting for the lavs, but it has never bothered me. Also, some people think the window seats in the exit rows are cold, and in the exit door next to the window seat there is a storage space for the emergency slide which may cut into your leg room slightly forcing you to angle your legs. I always take an aisle seat when in an exit row. Enjoy your flight. |
