Guest policy for Sky Club access w/ the Skymiles Platinum AmEx card

Anyone know for sure what the guest policy is when accessing the Sky Club using your Delta Skymiles Platinum AmEx? I can't seem to find a certain answer from either the Delta or American Express websites, and a quick search on FT didn't turn it up.

I have a DL Skymiles Plt AmEx, and I typically access the Sky Club by taking advantage of the $25 one-time visit fee available to cardholders -- it's usually just me on the trip. However, tomorrow my wife and I are flying down to Jamaica for my brother's wedding, and we have a 3-hour layover in ATL. Also, my parents, who are also going, have an almost identical itin even though they're originating from a different city -- they arrive in ATL at the same time as us, and all four of us are on the same flight to MBJ. I think the Sky Club might be a nice treat for everyone.

I've never tried to bring in guests using my DL Plt AmEx before - the Delta site indicates with the AmEx, it's $25 per vist, with up to two guests. However, I thought I remembered reading somewhere that the guests have to pay a $25 fee as well. But I can't find that clarified anywhere.

My plan was to have my wife purchase a 30-day membership and I'd do my usual $25 thing, but if I can bring in 2 guests at no additional charge I'll have to rethink my strategy.

Anybody have any idea?

Also...I know this question has to annoy the heck out of the "they Sky Clubs are too crowded now that they'll let anyone in" folks on this board. Sorry.

By the time you get this figured out at the Skyclub your layover will be over.
Just head to the closest bar for a drink!

that's the conclusion I'm coming to. The other thought I had was, "this is probably too much effort to save about 40 bucks."

Still, I'm curious.

$25 for you, and $25 for each guest (up to two).

What you are getting for $25 is a discounted one-day pass; one-day passes do not include any guests. A 30-day membership allows two guests.

Actually, the Delta AMEX $25 deal is just a one visit pass, not a day pass.

This. And it's a non-trivial distinction, especially if traveling on a multi-segment itinerary.

It's just one stop in ATL.

Thanks for the help, everybody.

It's $25 per person per entry on the AmEx card. Up to two guests are allowed to pay the $25 per person charge as your guest. You don't get to take in guests without them paying the $25 charge per person. I thought it was $25 for you and the guests, but I was quickly set straight at the MPLS Skyclub.

Going to Jamaica? And you are a Gold Medallion?

Don't worry about the Amex card or the $25...

Show them your boarding pass as a Skyteam Elite traveling internationally. That should get you and your wife in.

While Jamaica is an international flight, flights to/from Caribbean countries are specifically excluded for lounge access by Skyteam Elite Plus members.

Does anyone know whether the guest's fee must also be placed on the Delta Amex Plat Card? In other words, can the 2 guests pay with cash or their own non-branded cards? Or must everything be on my card?

If you slip the checkin agent a Grant, she'll let you pass right through with your wifey, that's the trick.

The whole thing goes on your card. If the guest wants to pay you back with cash that is fine, but everything goes on your card.
