Are there really SkyClubs in the system where a duty belt is necessary? I knew they get crowded, but they always manage to keep the lights on...

Saw this DM at LAX SC this morning...

Guess I just found out the answer... Just 30 seconds ago a dude walked by with a bad black eye, so apparently the duty belt is required!

I salute you Mr SkyClub duty belt wearer.... Here is to keeping us all safe!

Are you kidding me? Do you guys not see the flashlight strapped to the dude's belt? That would be the "duty belt".

My father, who has trouble seeing, carries a flashlight like this when he travels. He says it helps him navigate car rental/parking lots when it's dark out, dark hotel rooms where the light switches are not obviously placed, and in case of an aircraft emergency to assist with evacuation. I can see the point (no pun intended).

I carry a flashlight when I travel but never on a duty belt.

It can provoke unwanted confrontation in certain countries when tourist show up wearing law enforcement/militia gear. I only go as far as my 511 shirt for the conceal pockets.
