Why I love when Diamonds clash
Before my SLC flight, one middle aged guy cuts in front of our line and says "excuse me, i'm diamond Im supposed to be in front." Guy next to him gets annoyed and says "I dont give a damn, so am I and I fly way more than you". Original guy retorts that there is no way that is true and recites his miles, stats while also cursing lol. The two guys get heated and one of them actually pulls out the phone app to prove his point... lmaooo. Maybe one day I will no longer be a peasant gold and participate in this madness

Seth. Me thinks you would have been escorted from the plane with a new bracelet. While the wide-body passenger was at fault for not asking the FA to help him, once she agreed with his move, the op had no choice in the matter. Delta will back her 100% Any flight crew member is empowered by the FAA Regulations (USA) to issue an instruction to a passenger onboard an aircraft. If the passenger refuses to comply, the Flight Attendant will/should inform the Captain (just like on a ship) and the Captain will resolve the issue either by him/herself or with a call for help from law enforcement authorities. The FAR’s (FAA regulations) are very clear - if a FA gives you an instruction, you have no choice; it is not a request.
If the door wasn't closed, this was a situation for the GA, and there's no way the OP would have been arrested simply for requesting the GA's presence.

If I’m going to sue someone I never say anything, makes I’d harder to prep by destroying evidence, BleachBitting computers, shredding documents, etc.
I have threated to sue but ask if that person has $10,000 to $25,000 for a retainer for an attorney to defend the suit. Most people don’t have an extra $20,000 they can part with within 30 days of getting served, and that alone will be the moment of clarity needed to get the other person to think a little more rationally.
Speak very politely and quietly - which can be more intimidating that shouting.
Do I have to charge myself a 10-25k retainer for legal services?

The only way the story could get better is if the two diamonds got so busy arguing with each other that they forgot to board the flight!

I like it! They're both standing by the GA, both refusing to board until the GA has processed all the upgrades since YBYL (and I can hear at least one if not both using this phrase or acronym). Then the GA says "Sorry, there will be no other upgrades and WHOOPS boarding has closed."
