Yep! That was an early episode of Pokemon.

I have never experimented with drugs but often thought should I start, it should be in that tunnel.

So does my 85 year old mother. She argued with me when I turned it off the other day.

I can't believe you'd go against an elder!

I think the on/off switch is a good idea!
Agreed. Long-time fans of Michael Crichton will recall that one of the scientists in The Andromeda Strain suffered from a seizure disorder triggered by flashing red lights.

That DTW light/sound show is a highlight of worldwide journeys for me.
I completely agree! I've booked trip to have longer layovers in DTW just so I can enjoy the tunnel!

My friend has a cat that's epileptic- random things on TV can set her off. There's lots of things for both humans and animals that most people don't even realize that can set off life-threatening reactions.

I clicked on this thinking more people would hate it. I normally love things like this, but the Detroit one gives me a headache--it felt like a little too much for a place I had to go through ...

It was off last week on Tuesday when I went through.
If it's already off and you push the pause button again, does it turn it back on like on your DVR?

Went through the ORD tunnel yesterday and checked to see if they have a button too. Answer is no, but for some reason while the DTW tunnel always bothered me, I'm fine in the ORD tunnel.

Wait...what?! That doesn't make any sense....

If someone is sensitive pushes the button and starts across and is 1/4 of the way across someone behind them can just press the button and RESTART the tunnel?

If that is true it is just HORRIBLE design!

It should be that whenever you press the button the "pause" timer gets reset to T-minutes (10 minutes)? That way if it is paused and you have light/sound issues, you can press it AGAIN to ENSURE that you have the T minutes (10?) to cross...

Otherwise if it is paused and you cross (without pressing the button to reset the timer) it could start up again while you are in the tunnel...
