Can Refund given as MCO (Miscellaneous Charges Order) be used to ticket someone else?
I used an eCredit that was to have expired this upcoming May for a roughly $250 ticket, which I canceled within 24 hours. I just thought the cancellation would result in the eCredit being redeposited back to my account.
Unfortunately, about 2 weeks later, I get a Miscellaneous Charges Order, issued on Delta ticket stock, for the amount I was owed.
Accompanying the MCO is a letter, stating "take the MCO to a ticket counter and the agent will apply the non-refundable amount toward future travel on Delta."
I would prefer to give this to a charity where a fundraiser I know flies once a month or so on Delta.
Anyone have any experience with whether he will be able to use it? It states it is not replaceable if lost or stolen.
Or, if someone has the number to the refund department, feel free to PM.
I have no desire to go to the airport to ticket anything.
