OK, some details here:

What's going on? My guess is someone in some department at Delta had to define what they mean by "Middle East." That person found some list some place (my guess UN related) which included all the regular middle eastern countries, including Israel, and "Occupied Palestinian Territories." No one paid much attention until today when some joker, instead of assuming that Delta considered TLV to be in Israel, decided Delta meant that TLV was an part of the "Occupied Palestinian Territories." Since then Delta has made some changes, and now it says "Palestinian Territories." That's probably an accurate, non-inflammatory description (except for the fact that there are no flights to and from there).
Considering that Delta flies to TLV, I don't see any reason why friends of Israel would boycott Delta.

TLV (David Ben Gurion Int'l Airport near Tel Aviv) is the only major international airport in Israel. Haifa and Eilat also have regional airports with some commercial service, but I don't think that any DL partners serve them.
I think it's fair to objectively say that TLV serves the Palestinian territories, since many people visiting those areas (including tourists to Jericho, Bethlehem, Hebron, and other popular religious sites) fly into TLV, which is less than an hour from Bethlehem. Your other option is to fly into AMM and enter the West Bank from Jordan, but unless you are holding a passport from a country that is in conflict with Israel, TLV is the better option.
So I believe that the statement is accurate, geographically. TLV is certainly not in the Palestinian territories, but it is a relatively short distance from them and does serve some of those communities.
*edit: Now, if the issue is with the word "occupied," then that is indeed a conversation for Omni PR.

North Korea is also defined as part of North Asia. I don't know which DL partner flies there, either. It's a way to define the regions in case service is offered in the future, pure and simple.

Into what airport in the Palestinian Territories does Delta fly?

Though the "occupied" part doesn't sit well, it isn't the main point. The fact is yes, it can "service" those areas but it's in Israel.

Right--It all looks like a misunderstanding to me, unless I'm missing something where Delta published some sort of map that omitted Israel and had TLV smack in the middle of the Palestinian territories. I do think it's accurate to say that Delta serves the Palestinian territories via TLV in Israel and AMM in Jordan.
