Anyone on FT get tipsy in First class? or in coach on HOUU?
Let's not speak of this.

I usually show up a little early to make sure I get the buzz I need to endure coach. I'm usually on a T fare and any upgrade is magic.

Only on Tipsy Tuesdays. And Thirsty Thursdays. Oh, and Wasted Wednesdays. And Messed Up Mondays, I guess. Sloshed Saturdays are always a good time. And Smashed Sundays. And last but not least, F-ed Up Fridays...

So only occasionally...

During my last years as a college student I had a Skyclub Membership. By the time I got to the plane, I was a little bit happier than normal. Also used the SLC Skyclub to have a few post-arrival beers because I knew I was not going to find them anywhere else after leaving the airport.

I try hard to avoid doing this at the risk at being a hot mess on the plane. That said, I've had a killer-long delay or two where I lost count in the SC...

My wife and I usually do at the terminal's Chilis here in TPA before flights to Vegas; now that I have an Amex Reserve, we plan to see how much of that annual fee we can put a hurting on via the booze in the SC.

At the going restaurant rate for a cocktail, it doesn't take long

Yeah, airport Chili's is a solid $9+ for a weak cocktail. We do three or four Vegas trips/year so I think the reserve card was a good investment lol.

Not enough room to get tipsy in the "new" clubs.

Overnight flights to Europe - a few in the SC before, then board early to my seat in the front to throw back a few before take-off, several glasses of wine with dinner, then a whiskey to put me to sleep. Horrible headache when I get up as we are landing, but it has yet to convince me not to do it!

Wait, getting tipsy in the SC is optional??

It's the main reason I'm a member.

A long time ago yes in an airport bar or other places. Now, I have built up such a capacity, it takes quite a bit to get me tipsy. Last year with my boss in Seattle we had 6 pints before we even sat down to dinner and then we went for nightcaps in the hotel bar after dinner too.

So at xmas I had 3 Gin+Vermouths in the IND SC, then dinner etc (+ DRINKS) in FC on DL 64 TATL. I was fine. Not a good reputation to have I know.
