Well the 319's WERE 16 F until they did the same thing to them for EC. If you remember when DL announced this they first said there would be no reduction in FC seats, then they said 319 only, and now, of course, the 320 is being reduced (as several of us here already knew).
To be fair, they never claimed that there would be no reduction of F seats with the Economy Comfort rollout. It was clarified within a few days that the A320 would be reduced from 16 to 12. Deceptive indeed, but not a lie.

They did add F seats to the MD-88, MD-90 and 767-300. In addition they added seats to the E170s and of course made all CRJ-700s 2 class.
When you compare similar AC across all the domestic legacies, Delta comes in at or ahead of the competition in terms of number of F seats.
