DL 1643 BE config? in March

Wondering if I should upgrade to Z for this flight, considering it's a dinner flight and it's quite long...it seems like it could have transcon BE config, but just wanna make sure...
DL flight #1643 on March 9th...

Thanks and sorry if this has been discussed before

Transcon BE Configured aircraft are only marketed as JFK-SFO/LAX. As a result the flight you are looking at (JFK-SEA) may or may not have a BE configured plane. Operationally, the BE configured plane will be removed from your route before the premium transcon runs.

BE equipped aircraft occasionally show up on routes besides JFK-LAX/SFO (seemingly quite frequently on Florida-ATL-LAX runs) but while you might enjoy a more comfortable seat, the service is still standard, domestic F service. (No upgraded meal, pillows/blankets, amenities, etc.)

Also, the aircraft might be swapped out at any time for an aircraft equipped with domestic F seats and you would have no recourse in such a situation.

The seat map lists a 75E but that is subject to change. If it stays the same it will be a "BusinessElite" seat but domestic F service

Gotcha! So do you think a complimentary upgrade is a realistic chance for a GM (on a Friday night at 7.30 out of JFK) or should I just upgrade to a K fare and cash in a mileage upgrade?

I guess it also depends on if they change the aircraft or not ( 16 BE seats vs 24 F seats..)

The SEA-JFK route is going to full time BE in 2013 as part of DLs Seattle enhancement. I've heard as early as April. I've been on this flight 2x in March '13 and it is not BE service and food yet.

If you're an AA flyer the AA 268/69 have much better SEA-JFK service and food to present, but we shall see after BE really hits this route on DL.
