Refundable Ticket

Before I do anything silly, Quick question, can I cancel a refundable ticket even after I have checked-in and have boarding passes printed (and use the skyclub) - and get all associated costs and taxes back?

Yes. I have done it on a number of occasions, without any problems.

I have done it too. Delta plane was delayed so I cancelled ticket and rebooked on another airline. Did it over the phone while sitting at the gate. I had even checked a bag....had to claim it at baggage claim and take it over to the other airline, they wouldn't transfer it.

Thanks guys, I needed the skyclub access at the airport. LOL.

Oh yes, one more thing - in cash/original form of payment too?

Original form of payment.

BTW, are you a SC member? If so some have reported that DL will issue you a gate pass and you don't have to bother with this. You could give that a shot, and if it fails then buy the faux ticket.

Be careful booking the ticket. Just because a ticket is refundable doesn't mean that there are no fees associated with cancelling it. Make sure that the ticket is Fully refundable. Just checking refundable ticket on delta.com does not necessarily get you a fully refundable ticket.
