SEA JFK 763 new configuration
Has anyone noticed that some random days of the week (I've tried Sunday night) in February, SEA- JFK is operated by a 767 with new configuration with the new BE cabin? I found it rather interesting especially for the Sunday night red eye... Being not too elite heavy and having so many BE seats it would make it a nice ride...
Any idea how long this will last, if it's permanent or just temp?

Could it be aircraft rotation for the KIX or PEK flights?
Those flights don't operate daily iirc, and they could also be changing aircraft types based on seasonal demand, so it could come and go if this is the reason.

Some of the SEA-ATL 767 runs with international aircraft have long been great opportunities for even Silvers to sit up front in BusinessElite seating. It makes sense that with the Seattle 767 routes to Asia being some of the longer ones that they'd see the flatbed reconfigurations sooner rather than later.
Interesting they're rotating through JFK, where there's traditionally less demand than ATL - but I certainly won't complain about flatbed seating on a domestic run!

Thursday and Sunday mornings you will see that flight 183, JFK to SEA has been and continues to be with the refurbished 763ER.
Friday and Sunday nights, the red eye on SEA - JFK, flight 1642 is also on the refurbished 767.

I've already done JFK - SEA as a MR, just to check out the flat beds and enjoy a day in Seattle. Fares are still pretty cheap, under $300.00
