Medallion Status for 2012: Higher or Lower than 2011?

Continuing my slide down with some reduced travel and more splitting with Jet Blue. PM 2010 > GM 2011 > This coming year will just miss GM, so down to lowly Silver for me. Ugh. Unfortunately with more of my domestic travel shifting to IAD, Jet Blue is making more and more sense for me these days (directs to-from MCO, more consistent/better coach product, and an oddly important loss of a differentiator for Delta, the IAD Sky Club closure).

Was Platinum with NW for several years in the early 2000's got married and had a kid and watched my status dwindle slowly to "kettle". Started flying again in 2009 and have been Platinum ever since. I'll be rolling over a little more than 21000 miles so should easily make PM again next year.

Ramping back up
After removing DL from authorized airlines at our firm due to customer service issues, I reinstated them in 2010 and vaulted all the way to FO. In 2011 travel on DL increased my status to PM. I'm already scheduled for 140K in 2012 but had a not so ideal CSR on the PM phone line when I needed more help on EU matters. That is prompting me to look around for a second carrier. If my TATL moves to another airline I will likely end PM. If I keep TATL with Delta I will be DP with many MQM to spare.
Customer Service = Revenue is still eluding DL. As a businessman, I just can't fathom how you can constantly forgive poor staff behavior that looses more revenue in one client interaction than they are personally paid all year. It's mind numbing to me.

Started off 2011 as Silver (which for all intents and purposes actually means "No Status") and ended as Gold. Will probably renew as Gold during 2012.

Been PM since 2003 and started 2011 as such.
Between the busted award calendar, spending way to much valuable time trying to piece together low international awards (and award travel in general) and finally the T-72 rule, I took by business to UA. Will be FO in 2012 (mostly through roll over) and expect to be a general member going forward.
While I miss the upgrades, not a whole lot of difference between DL and UA except that I can actually use my miles and it only takes a few minutes to put together an itinerary to do so.

PM in '11, will be GM in '12 with 24k rollover.
GM works fine for NYC-MCO. Jet Blue is ok too with 34 inch seats, AVOD, a free checked bag and more flight selection to MCO. I can also grab EC on Delta for LAX, SFO trips.

After 8 years of being PM and 2 years being DM, I am going to be a lowly FO in 2012. Ah well, it was nice while it lasted.

Back to dirt after a long and drawn out slide down through silver. But don't shed a tear, I fly paid F/J. I might make get status again later in the year, but that will depend entirely on who prices out better for the premium cabin for my international travel.
