Hellp Getting 1900 Miles To Gold Status

New to the forum and relatively new traveler. With trips I have already booked for December, Im going to fall about 1900 miles short of Gold Medallion status. I can't make it on segments. I need the miles to get there. My opportunity to travel is really limited to the last week of December. Any advice on how to get there the least expensive way possible? I'm assuming miles for GM status can't be purchased. Right? If travel just for the sake of earning the miles is required, I would appreciate some advice on the least expensive and least amount of hassle. I live in Atlanta. Thanks in advance.

Delta is offering purchase of MQMs before the end of the year, so you could purchase 2,500 for $295 and be good to go. It might not be the cheapest way, but if you don't have much time, it will work.

You also get MQMs when you buy a SC membership and if the promo has not ended and you can still register, when you stay two consecutive nights at a Hilton family hotel. Hover, for 1900 MQMs, buying some is probably the way to go if you do not want to fly. You can purchase up to 10,000 and the excess will rollover, so you might want to consider buying more than you need as there is no guarantee that miles can be purchased next year. IIRC the Hilton promo gives spendable miles too, but the buy some and SC offers are PURELY MQMs, so much less cost effective than a good MR.
