Just make sure you use the "Acces No. 1" lanes at all checkpoints. This is CDG-speak for SkyPriority.
When departing from CDG I did go through the shorter security line/lanes because of STE+ |

2 hours is still a crunch if there are any labor issues. I landed 2C and had to get to 2E border control had 1 person and priority was closed at border control line was very long had to run it -- 3 of us made it several others on our flight didn't. I wouldn't dawdle once you land get to your terminal asap.

My past experiences at CDG have resulted in misconnects or a rapid walk or run across the terminals. Granted it is all a matter of which terminal one has to get to and the inbound flight being delayed or not but it certainly has a reputation that is justified. |

Really? So many posters here have commented on the favorite statement of KLM staff, 'That is not possible,' that it is cliche.

I have a 2hr, 45 minute connection in CDG on an award trip on December 26th. Based on this thread, I feel that I should be okay. Have I missed anything that should lead me to believe that I wont?

I have a 70 minute connection traveling from MAD (which apparently arrives in 2F) to an a380 CDG-JFK which (apparently departs from 2E). Does anyone know if the the a380 is in the main hall or satellite?
Provided I can use Aceess No1 (as a DL Plat) are there any other tips one could recommend having made a similar connection in the past? In the event I misconnect, how good is AF at reaccommodating? Originally purchased a W fare and upgraded to O with SWU. |

Like any airport, CDG gets easier once you know your way around. Familiarize yourself with the layout and you'll be a step ahead of the game. |

It will be the satellite, with the custom 380 gates.
I'm in CDG all the time. Two hours is fine -- though of course like anywhere you could get hit with a delay that could mess you up. And I REALLY don't get the "hard to navigate." If you can count to 3 and know the letters A-G, just follow the signs. In fact for AF-AF, you don't even need the numbers. |
My only experience in CDG was arriving from JFK on AF A380 into 2E, I think. I don't recall taking a train or shuttle, so I think it was the main 2E. In any case, I chose to exit, walk, and re-enter on my way to 2F to catch my AF flight to WAW.
I speak very little French, only about 20-30 words. I either was not elite enough at the time or didn't know about Acces No. 1, so I used regular immigration and security lanes. I was also pulled aside for more screening re-entering the secure area in 2F. I got mildly lost somewhere between 2E and 2F for about 5 minutes. Even after all this, I still arrived at my connecting gate in about 45 minutes. It was a pretty terrible connection experience, but all in all, I made it pretty painlessly. *I live in New York, so I have a fairly high tolerance for crowding, fast walking, and stressful transportation experiences, compared to the average American. |

Originally purchased a W fare and upgraded to O with SWU. Reaccomodation depends if you are one of a few people to be reacommodated or if there is a major problem at CDG (e.g. mass cancellations due to snow). If you are alone, AF IROPS service is ok (not outstanding, but fine), if CDG is a mess, look for a lounge, expect even there a horrendous queue and then maybe you get a solution which is probably not want you want. |
