A DM friend was on an ATL inbound last week. Charles Barkley was also on the flight & greeted by the Porsche. Not random.
(Given the times I've seem him @ our Publix he has a local residence.)

Me too....14 years with Delta, top tier for each of those years, (148K miles and $24K spend last year-all domestic), 1.6 million miles, tight connections and STILL no pickup...what do I have to do?

After reading this thread and the article in the MN Star Trib, I figured (and was totally fine) that I'll never be worth more than a cheap ham sandwich to DL.
I was sort of excited to see the Porsche pull up to our plane as we taxied to the gate yesterday. I snapped a few pictures of it wondering who the big shot VIP was on my flight.
Suffice it to say I was SHOCKED to walk off the plane to see a DL agent holding a sign with my name. I was walked down the stairs and driven between terminals at LAX by a friendly agent. Took some pictures and was floored that DL would consider me more than ham.
^ Kudos to DL for the nice touch. I guess I am not just bacon, but a good ham sandwich. Agree with the folks that said "made my day".

Thanks Kevin for the ride today. I usually don't impress all that easily but with a tight connection between A and E in ATL it was a nice touch. All of the DL folks remind me of the old slogan " we love to fly and it shows" ....and it did again today.
thanks again Kevin.
thanks again Kevin.
