BE seating
I'm on a 767-300ER beginning of January. Already kissed my idea of the refurb cabin goodbye, since I will fly MEM-AMS.
I've got 1J/1K, thought that I like that nobody can recline in to my space since no seat in front of you. Now I saw SeatGuru had new information per seat, stating that 1J/1K have restricted legroom and that all other seats on the J/K position have a little more space, compared to A/B E/F? Anybody can relate to this or just stick to what I have? |
The bulkheads on these birds have plenty of legroom. And I've always heard the line that J/K seats have increased pitch, but over dozens and dozens of these flights I've never actually been able to tell the difference. (It might be an inch, but it's such a small difference it's meaningless.)

I sat in 1A last week and remember that my toes hit the bulkhead wall when the foot rest was all the way up. I'm about 6' tall. I've sat in other non-bulkhead seats on the 767s and didn't have such a problem. So, I agree with Seatguru about the bulkheads on this one. If you're 5' 10" or shorter, it's likely not an issue.

I personally prefer row 2, beacuse of storage under the seat in front of you.. :) ;)

Why don't you make the short hop to ATL and take the A330 to AMS from there?

Also, the bulkheads are best on this plane IMO because nobody reclines into your space. In any other row, people recline into you and for the person at the window, it is hard to get out. Otherwise, I like the center seats (C, E) in the first few rows just because both have direct aisle access. |

I hate those planes! All boarding is through the front and the cabin is old and not very private from noise and other annoying things your fellow passengers will do throughout the flight. I last flew it in May JFK-IST (10 hours) and maybe was able to sleep for 1 hour the entire flight in BE.

Dont be so fast to kiss the idea away. N1608 does frequent turns at AMS to the different USA airports and occasionally will also do turns to BOM.

I'm taking these new babaies for a ride in March 2012.. Ewr to Ams to Bom :)

I'd check on that J and K in terms of the plane you are on. |

Never heard of seats 1J and 1K on a 767-300....So you must be just outside of the plane? :) The only plane with seats 1J and K in DLs fleet would be a 747....
