Delay reaccomodation

If my flight arrives in ATL under the MCT and I miss the connection is DL obligated to put me on another carrier if I'm going internationally, like LH or only DL or SkyTeam? They don't serve my airport other than the one flight per day I'd miss. I'm silver medallion if that helps.

No they are likely not obligated to offline you. What was the reason for the delay from your originating airport? You can always ask them to do it but they will likely say no, especially if it is due to weather

If it's due to mechanical they will probably accommodate you, if weather, no.

Sorry to say this, but, are you serious??? . . . . .

. . . . . (I'm sure I wasn't the only one thinking it!)

+1

No obligation for them to do this, though your chances are higher if it was due to MX. WX or ATC, not likely.

What's the destination? Since you mention LH, I'm assuming it's in Europe. Unless you're on the last TATL out of ATL, they should be able to find a way to get you across using AF/KL.

Destination is MUC. Flight departed 7 mins early but arrived late in ATL despite no weather in either location (headwinds perhaps). I assumed they wouldn't offline, but I figured I'd check.

So what was the end result? Hopefully you didn't have to overnight in ATL, as there should have been five or six DL/AF/KL flights to AMS/CDG from ATL and then tons of options on AF/KL onward to MUC. With the joint venture, it wouldn't matter whose metal you're on. Definitely no chance that they'd send you over to LH in such a case, especially since LH would have to route you via FRA.

DL typ will accommodate you with hotel/vouchers and a nice 24 hour wait.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but whenever I have a domestic flight connecting to an international flight, I ALWAYS make sure that I have a minimum of 2 hours connection time to allow for delays. This is particularly important to protect my upgraded BE seat.

I'm wondering what to ask in terms of compensation for a 4 and a half hour maintenance delay that stranded me in ATL overnight.
