Unlike all other 767 versions Delta has, there isn't a lavatory set near the over-wing exits (because they are near the 2nd set of doors).

*Note: This configuration is used inclusive on SEA-PVG, ATL-LOS. It also frequently works SEA-ATL to provide rotation. These aircraft do cover flights to Europe All 36J seats will be sold because it has a crew rest module installed. Also, the Y seats are the older ones like the 777 with the older IFE system (only 767-300ER type with that, all others are the newer seats/system).
**All retired 6/30/2020 due to COVID-related fleet simplifications

What DL is believed to do is put all flights with 26J as the 76Z Version 2 configuration and then change it to 76Z Version 1 closer to departure as needed. If you select 20-21CDE when it is 76Z Version 2 and it changes to 76Z Version 1, it should seat you in 13-14CDE considering that 20-21CDE doesn't exist on the configuration it changed to. All other seats are numbered the same regardless of Version 1 or 2, although there may be minor differences such as row 20 being an exit row on Version 1.

without going back several pages, that, if my memory serves me correct, makes 4 birds which are back in the air flying? 1608, 1609, 1611 and 1612? I believe there is a 5th one due back in service very shortly?

Flightaware still doesnt seem to be working when it comes to tracking via tail #.

Oh, and thanks Clipper ^

ClipperDelta, would you heppen to know how many days in advance they might decide to make a switch to one of the flat beds? Later this month Mrs. TrojanTraveler and I are on ATL-MAD, MAD-JFK, and am curious as to how far in advance they would do the switch (and how they would handle new seat assignments).

Just speaking from experience (as I have been on 3 flights now on these newly refurbed AC) they usually show up 2-3 days in advance. The only thing that is annoying is that the last time I was traveling with someone on the same PNR and we had A and B seats and when the swap occurrd we stayed in AB seats which led to a mess on the plane as only BC seats are together and everyone was trying to change, the purser was moving non-revs to window seats to try and help all paying passengers be seated together in BC seats. Plus the side seats are all a little ways behind the middle seats so 1A I'd actually closer to 2B and C than 1 B and C due to the alignment of seats. This information will come in handy if traveling as 3 people since you should book 1A and 2B and C if you all want to be together.....not 1ABC

I have thought trying to go from 2C to 1A would not work which your post confirms. Anyway AMS-DTW (249) on Saturday still shows 2x2x2 so no relief for me.

Its just not fair that GYEWorldTraveler got 3 of these plus I will probably still get the old beasts when I run back to ATH next year.

bad news. It looks like delta no longer shares its tail # of its aircraft with flightaware. It makes it extremely difficult, next to impossible, to track what 763's will be flying with the lie-flats.

so, being that you can't track on flightaware DL's refrubished 763's, I have done an exhaustive search on Delta.com and can only come up with one flight that is currently scheduled to fly with a refurbished 763....SEA to PEK. If supposedly 4 are done, then where are the other 3? I've checked every 763 route and only came up with the one.

You haven't checked ALL the 763 routes

For Sat 12 Nov, they are doing:
DL183 SEA-KIX
DL129 SEA-PEK
DL 27 ACC-JFK

All the seat maps for the above flights reflect the 1-2-1 BE config.
And it looks like the flightaware data for Delta flights is partially back (has been updated for the last few days - but rather sporadically. You still have to piece together some of the info).

The fourth one has been/is operating a charter.

Is the SLC-CDG an updated interior or still the old bizelite?

So I just got off that horrible 763 AMS-DTW after the same pain two weeks ago ATH-JFK. What are the odds for new equipment JFK-ATH-JFK next August?

none of them are flying to/from Europe anymore. Hopefully, the two on the west coast aren't becoming a permanent thing. It seems JFK to ACC is. I guess my chances of winding up on one of the new 763's in two weeks ATL - CDG is looking slimmer and slimmer. Thanks for the finds clipper D, but it looks like the Pacific is getting most of the love.

No pattern

I've been watching this thread for weeks. I don't see a discernable pattern in the routing. It's anybody's guess where those birds are going to be.

i think there settling into somewhat of a half hazard pattern. Reliability on the sea - pek/kix flights, while the east coast seems to be locked into mostly jfk - acc for now.

Do any seat maps exist for the new interiors on seatguru/etc? It would be nice to know, just from looking at a seat map, if the equipment scheduled to be used is one of the re-fitted birds.

Any idea?
